Connect Codex
The Codex CLI and the IDE extension read the same config.toml. Use --url for hosted, npx for local.
Steps
- Run one of the commands. Codex writes the configuration to
~/.codex/config.toml. - To edit by hand, add a
[mcp_servers.dyslexiasteps]table to that file. For a per-project setup, put the table in.codex/config.tomlat the root of a trusted project. - Restart Codex and try the check prompt below.
Configuration
Hosted (recommended)
codex mcp add dyslexiasteps --url https://mcp.dyslexiasteps.com/mcpLocal (npx)
codex mcp add dyslexiasteps -- npx -y dyslexiasteps-mcpconfig.toml (hosted)
[mcp_servers.dyslexiasteps]
url = "https://mcp.dyslexiasteps.com/mcp"config.toml (local)
[mcp_servers.dyslexiasteps]
command = "npx"
args = ["-y", "dyslexiasteps-mcp"]Check it works
